Di solito in inglese si usano due sostantivi diversi per indicare un animale e la sua carne. Quando ci si riferisce al cervo come animale si usa “deer”, mentre quando si parla della carne il termine corretto è “venison”: Non mi piace la carne di cervo, I don't like venison (non I don't like deer).
